Build a cell membrane

Extracting DNA from strawberries

  • 100 ml dishwashing liquid (or shampoo without conditioner)
  • 900 ml water
  • 15 grams of salt
  • 1-2 fresh or frozen strawberries
  • Ziploc bag
  • Coffee filter
  • clear glass or test tube
  • cup or beaker or similar container
  • Isopropanol alcohol

*Note: There are various extract the DNA type experiments. You can Google for one that uses ingredients you have.
