The 2021 Practical Homeschooling® Reader Awards™ will be announced in the Summer 2021 issue of Practical Homeschooling magazine. The Reader Awards have been a regular feature in the magazine since 1998. Thousands of homeschoolers rank the curriculum they have used, and the products with the highest satisfaction ratings win.
Around the Guest Hollow Office there is a pervasive and very deep sense of gratitude to our customers who have again voted Guest Hollow into SIX winning slots! We have YOU to thank for this! To those of you who were so wonderful and nominated us for inclusion, we just do not know how to express enough appreciation. Also, we absolutely owe a very sincere thank you to each and every one of you who took the time to cast a vote for the various Guest Hollow Curriculums during the awards process. We are beyond grateful and we are extremely honored.
As many of you know, 2020 and early 2021 were been fraught with enormous challenges for our little husband and wife company. Not only was there the Covid-19 insanity that affected the entire globe, but we also had the extreme challenges of multiple serious surgeries, a complete and unexpected rewrite of one of our newest curriculum because of a newly out-of-print main spine book, and the complete and total rewrite overhaul of our GuestHollow.com website and more.
Somehow through all of that we kept up with our customer needs in a timely manner and made it through to the other side.
It is with all of that, as well as multi day power outages as a backdrop, that we completely forgot about the Practical Homeschooling Reader Awards until it was pretty much too late to say very much about them. However, our customers did not forget! While we were fighting those challenges and doing the day-to-day work of creating new curriculum, answering customer questions, and keeping our customers happy, our customers were keeping track and actively helping get the word out about us and voting for our materials over at Practical Homeschooling Magazine. Wow. Wow. Wow. Thank you guys!
Mary Pride, the publisher of Practical Homeschooling Magazine contacted us near the end of the first quarter of 2021to give us the good news. We were absolutely stunned to learn that, despite this being off of our radar, we had won, for the SECOND YEAR IN A ROW, not one or two, but *SIX* Practical Homeschooling Reader Awards. We were absolutely astonished! She also swore us to secrecy until May 25th 2021.
